guys, the leather on my steering bike is quite crude. I'm thinking almost removing. Has anyone done such? If so, does the undersurface look OK later being covered in leather for 10+ years?

The guy you want to talk to is 'AATLAS1X'. He has found a place that does an astonishing chore recovering OEM wheels with fresh leather. Warning, it'southward not cheap and requires you lot transport out your wheel for a week or so.

You don't want what is nether the leather, it's nix pretty or improve and then your worn out leather.

Some other option is a self sewn on wheel cover, practise a search, someone posted about it with install pics.

I saw Atlas and Farnham's posts. Unfortunately, I'm cheap and not as well hot at sewing. I was hoping that you guys would tell me that the steering wheel looked fine underneath the leather.

The encompass is your cheapest option, unless you want to wrap the leather in electric tape or tennis grip, now there is a cheap pick!

If you can necktie your shoes y'all can run up a cover on your bicycle. Information technology's actually that easy. The holes you go through are pretty easy to identify.

I need one too.

If enough of you are serious - as in ~$120 serious, perchance less - I tin can become a guy I know to exercise a group buy on some matching leather covers like he did for me on a group of 4runners a few years ago.

These are REPLACEMENT LEATHER, not covers similar wheelskinz. They are as close to OEM as you can get, and tin can be installed in well under an 60 minutes.

Non cheap, but looks OEM for the least amount of money.
